A Trip to Japan A Long, Long Time Ago

Perhaps 2005? I had just bought my first digital SLR camera. Needless to say, I went nuts.

That day I had bought as close to a real Kōbé steak as it gets, and ate it all myself (mere mortals cannot buy real Kōbé steaks, even in Japan). This also brings back extremely unpleasant memories of staying with my ex-wife's parents. Nowadays I sensibly stay in a hotel.

All these shots were taken near rice paddies in the countryside of Nara. Needless to say, I want paintings done of them.

My beloved son . . . it makes me believe in angels.
